Receive one on one help with applying for food stamps, all information is kept confidential and all services are free. Already receiving SNAP? We can help you with your Recertifications, Redeterminations or Changes Reports. We speak Spanish!

Council Tree Storytime on a Blanket

Weather dependent so please check the events calendar for any updates. We will also email if you have registered and we cancel.

Space is limited to 25 people and registration is required for each individual. This 20-30 minute outdoor storytime is designed for kids birth to 6 years old.  Bring your own blanket to sit on with the kids, dress for the weather, and bring your water bottles.  Social distancing and safety guidelines will be enforced including face masks for participants ages 2 and older.  

We are excited to be partnering with CSU's Environmental Learning Center (ELC) for this special storytime! The  physical location is 2400 S. Colorado Road Nine, near Ziegler and Drake. 

Your registration confirmation will include directions to the ELC and about parking.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and physical distancing will be required by any participants and volunteers during this program. Children over the age of 2 will need to wear masks when social distancing cannot be observed. No more than 10 people will be present at the program. Program requirements are subject to change as CDC and County guidelines are updated. Additional instructions will be sent by e-mail to those registered prior to the program.

International Night Zoom Event: Belarus

The Republic of Belarus will be featured at this online program. Siarhei Mamatsiuk lived in Belarus till 2006 and will discuss the etymology, history, and modern events of the country. He'll also be highlighting stories of a Belarusian-Polish-American hero. This program will be offered through Zoom. Meeting information will be provided by email to registered participants. 

The Fort Collins International Center and Poudre Library present International Night, focusing on a different country or region from around the world monthly. Since the late 1990s, over 100 countries have been presented by speakers from the Fort Collins community who have lived/traveled abroad or are from one of over 200 countries around the globe. Speakers are volunteers who wish to share their experiences/cultures with the Fort Collins community. Día de los Niños con Memo Plastilina y la Hora del Cuento en Español / Día de los Niños with Memo Plastilina & Spanish Storytime

Join library staff and artist Memo Plastilina for a special virtual Spanish storytime and clay modeling workshop, where children will enjoy the Caldecott award winning book “We are Water Protectors” by Carole Lindstrom and Michaela Goade and learn how to model a character from this book using clay.

We celebrate Día, also known as El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day), as a commitment to include and honor diverse cultures and stories every day, year-round. Respect for culture, heritage, and language is a powerful tool for strengthening families and communities.
