Receive one on one help with applying for food stamps, all information is kept confidential and all services are free. Already receiving SNAP? We can help you with your Recertifications, Redeterminations or Changes Reports. We speak Spanish!

Council Tree Storytime on a Blanket

Weather dependent so please check the events calendar for any updates. We will also email if you have registered and we cancel.

Space is limited to 25 people and registration is required for each individual. This 20-30 minute outdoor storytime is designed for kids birth to 6 years old.  Bring your own blanket to sit on with the kids, dress for the weather, and bring your water bottles.  Social distancing and safety guidelines will be enforced including face masks for participants ages 2 and older.  

We are excited to be partnering with CSU's Environmental Learning Center (ELC) for this special storytime! The  physical location is 2400 S. Colorado Road Nine, near Ziegler and Drake. 

Your registration confirmation will include directions to the ELC and about parking.

International Night Zoom Presentation - Jamaica

Cathie McCallum, a Returned Peace Corp Volunteer (RPCV), served in Jamaica / West Indies from 1967-1970 as a school counselor and teacher trainer. She will present about her experiences leading up to serving as a PCV and why she chose that experience. She will also bring you information on her cultural adaptation and experiences in Jamaica/West Indies in the 1960’s and her visit there in the 1980’s. This online program will be offered through Zoom and the link invite will be provided by email to registered participants on the day of the event. 

This program presents a different country or region from around the world each month. All the speakers are volunteers who wish to share their experiences/ cultures with the Fort Collins community. Take-and-Make Kits - February Fun!

Teen Take and Make: Next Level Card Making

Poudre River Public Library District
Learn how to create a pop-up card or a card that lights up, then use what you've learned to make a valentine - or other card - that is next level.

The kits will be available at all three libraries - including during curbside hours - starting February 1 and until February 28, or while supplies last. Each kit will include instructions, materials for one pop-up card, and materials for one card that lights up using LEDs and a coin cell battery.

The kits and instructions are intended for tweens and teens in grades 4 through 12.
