Celebrate Earth Day with the City of Fort Collins Sustainability Services as we take a deeper look into what makes a city sustainable. Learn about the policies and programs the city has implemented over the last several years and how it plans to lead us into a carbon-neutral future. You'll gain a wider understanding of the unique efforts made across our community to reach our collective vision of a sustainable city.
This event is part of "Know Your City: Spotlighting Innovative Service in your City Departments," a program series in partnership between the City of Fort Collins and the Poudre River Public Library District. Designed to bring important and exciting City programs and initiatives to the public, these events will be hosted monthly from March to November 2021.
This program is free and open to the public, but you must register to receive an invitation. Once registered, the Zoom link will be sent the day before the event.

Día de los Niños con Memo Plastilina y la Hora del Cuento en Español / Día de los Niños with Memo Plastilina & Spanish Storytime
Acompaña al personal de la biblioteca y al artista, Memo Plastilina, en una hora del cuento virtual en español seguida de un taller de modelado de plastilina, donde los niños disfrutarán de la lectura del libro ganador del premio Caldecott “Somos protectores del agua” por Carole Lindstrom y Michaela Goade y aprenderán a modelar un personaje de este libro utilizando plastilina.
Celebramos Día, también conocido como El día de los niños/El día de los libros, como un compromiso para incluir y honrar la diversidad de culturas e historias todos los días del año. El respeto a la cultura, la herencia y el lenguaje es una importante herramienta para el fortalecimiento de familias y comunidades.

Join library staff and artist Memo Plastilina for a special virtual Spanish storytime and clay modeling workshop, where children will enjoy the Caldecott award winning book “We are Water Protectors” by Carole Lindstrom and Michaela Goade and learn how to model a character from this book using clay.
We celebrate Día, also known as El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day), as a commitment to include and honor diverse cultures and stories every day, year-round. Respect for culture, heritage, and language is a powerful tool for strengthening families and communities.
