Catapult Construction: Virtual Makerspace

Let's have some fun engineering a catapult! This activity provides students with a supply kit and learning video to build a catapult on their own. In this mini-science lesson, a video link will lead students through the steps to build a catapult machine. Students will investigate levers, stored energy, velocity, speed, and distance. All supplies provided by the library; the video link, along with instructions for supply pickup, will be provided to registered participants by email. Recommended for ages 5-8; activity time approximately 30 minutes. Supply kits will be available at Old Town Library, 201 Peterson Street.
