Poudre Libraries and Front Range Community College are reviving the library's poetry contest, now called Howl of the Hearts! During February 2024, poets submitted their poems for the chance to win gift card prizes and other honors. Finalists will read their poems aloud at a special poetry reading on April 4, 2024. First, second, and third place for teen and adult categories will be awarded at the conclusion of the program.

CSU's Community Literacy Center will pop-up at the Howl of the Hearts Poetry Reading with a literacy engagement activity.

The Howl of the Hearts poetry reading kicks off National Poetry Month and celebrates the creativity of Poudre Libraries and FRCC community members.
